Frank Walthall, III serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Walthall Oil Company. He began his career at the early age of 12 while he learned the business from his Father, Frank Walthall, Jr. After graduating from Georgia Tech in 1979, Frank joined the company full time and continued his career by splitting time each day between operations in the mornings and sales during the afternoon. After helping steward numerous acquisitions throughout a period of growth, Frank helped guide the company towards success into the next generation. Frank enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. He serves on the board of the Georgia Oilmens Association, Suntrust Bank, and the Macon Regional Crimestoppers.
Matt Rhodes joined Walthall Oil Company in 1999 as the collections manager. He has served in many roles within the organization and was promoted to President in 2016. He has assisted in nearly every part of Walthall Oil Company’s growth throughout the past years. Matt worked in his family’s business in Louisville, Georgia, from the age of 12 until his parents sold the business when he graduated from college. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Georgia Southern University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He has been married to his wife Meredith since 2000 and they have two children, Scott (2003) and Reed (2007) who are both active in baseball and football.
Shawn Heacox has been a member of the Walthall Oil Company team since 1990. First hired at a retail facility while attending Macon State College for his Bachelor’s degree, Shawn was later moved to an administrative role managing Walthall Oil Company’s proprietary card lock system. After learning several other roles within the organization, Shawn moved into the branded wholesale fuels arena spending years developing business opportunities and building relationships. In 2005, when Walthall Oil Company opened a division in Atlanta, Shawn was titled Division Head and then promoted to Vice President of the Atlanta Division in 2008. He has served on several charitable boards and committees presiding over profitable events. At home, he enjoys the occasional old truck restoration project. Shawn has been married to his wife, Laura, since 2000 and has two children, Rachel and Olivia.
Malcolm Walthall serves as the Vice President of Information Systems at Walthall Oil Company. He began his career working each summer since the age of 12 and has grown throughout the company since his early days. Known as a “Jack of all Trades”, Malcolm handles day-to-day operational activities ranging from information technology and systems integration, to in-depth plant maintenance and construction projects. In his spare time, he enjoys being actively involved with his church, serving as a volunteer firefighter in Bolingbroke and Monroe County where he lives, flying, woodworking, hunting and fishing and spending time with his wife Amy and daughter, Caitlyn.
Rod Coston joined Walthall Oil Company in 2005 as the Vice President of Finance. He graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and brings over 20 years of experience to the team. Rod oversees all financial management and accounting functions at the company. He has been married for 49 years and has two daughters.
Wesley Walthall joined Walthall Oil Company’s sales team after graduating from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Business Management in 2010 where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. He was promoted to Vice President of Sales in 2016 and is responsible for leading the sales team, expanding the markets we serve, and aligning goals with our strategic partners. He began his career at Walthall Oil Company at the age of 12 and worked each summer to learn the various aspects of the business. Wesley serves on the board of ExxonMobil's National Lubricant Distributor Advisory Council, Georgia Oilmen’s Association, and the Greater Macon Chamber Commerce. He lives in Macon with his wife, Sloan, and enjoys spending time hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing tennis.
